A 20-year-old Denton woman received a family violence assault charge after police were called to her apartment after 1 a.m. Friday.

According to reports, the woman was overheard screaming, “Get out. I’m going to kill you,” while a male voice — later identified as that of a 20-year-old man — was heard yelling and cursing. The outbursts prompted neighbors in the 600 block of West Eagle Drive to report the incident.  When officers arrived, they heard the woman screaming inside the residence. She was arrested for allegedly slapping the man. According to reports, both were “very intoxicated” and underage.

1700 block of South Loop 288 — A federal agency received counterfeit money during a fundraiser recently, police said.

The fake $20 bill was handed over at a fundraiser in the 800 block of Loop 288 between 8 a.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday, according to Denton police reports. The money was discovered to be counterfeit when someone tried to use the $20 bill to pay for food and the retailer would not accept the money, police said.

2200 block of Interstate 35E

— A 51-year-old woman was arrested on a shoplifting charge at a department store shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

University of North Texas police reported two outside agency warrant arrests, one aggravated assault, four public intoxication arrests, one theft, two possession of marijuana arrests, one animal call, one disorderly conduct/urinating in public complaint, three criminal trespass warnings, one arrest for purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor, one arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, one arrest for a minor driving under the influence, and citations for wrong or unclean license plates and failure to maintain financial responsibility,
